Knockderry House

Knockderry House was built in 1846 as a summer residence for David Anderson and his wife Anne Blyth.  The house was eventually converted into a small guest house in 1966 and was taken over by the current owners in 2001.

Knockderry House has been a hotel since 1966, when it was converted from a private residence into a small guest house with only 7 bedrooms.  Initially, it was run as a bed and breakfast offering the guest simple accommodation in a beautiful location.

However, Knockderry House was originally built as a summer escape for a wealthy Glaswegian family and the following information was gathered with the assistance of Mary Bylth – a decendant of that original family.

Overtown Manor

Overtown Manor is a beautiful rural bed and breakfast in striking distance of the M4 and Swindon but we are fortunate to have a secluded and peaceful setting. We are only 7 miles from Avebury and 10 miles from Marlborough. We provide accommodation and facilities for leisure and business travellers. Set in the unspoilt Wiltshire countryside, Overtown Manor is a Grade II listed house in its own garden and grounds. There is plenty of free off road private parking. We offer the highest standard of accommodation and the warmest of welcomes. We have four double ensuite bedrooms, two of the bedrooms can be twin rooms aswell.

Sulhamstead Hall

The hall was built in 1927 and was completely modernised in 1998. The hall is well used by many local organisations. The main hall has the benefit of a stage and there is also a further meeting room. The facilities include a kitchen, toilets and good parking.
